The expected earnings from the opportunity can be entered into the system, and analysis can be made by comparing the amount of expected earnings after the work done with the actual data in the ERP. It is possible to track information such as how many of the opportunities have been successful, how many have been lost; for the lost opportunities, why or to whom they were lost. The whole process can be tracked and reported in the system. Information that has not yet turned into an opportunity for the company, but has the potential to turn into an opportunity can also be entered into the system and tracked.
